A fun twist on the classic Cosmopolitan delights.
Sure, there are plenty of takes on the Cosmopolitan, but at its core the drink is a punchier, sour cocktail. Its creator, Toby Cecchini, shares a variation of his original recipe for the iconic drink he once served at the Odeon in New York City.
The Ginger Cosmopolitan
.5 ginger syrup
.5 hibiscus infusion
Twist of orange garnish
- Shake all ingredients together over ice and strain into a chilled coupe glass.
- Garnish with an orange twist.
*For Ginger Syrup: Using an extraction juicer, juice ginger fresh. Add 2 parts sugar to each 1 part fresh ginger juice, by volume, and mix very well, until sugar is dissolved.
*For Hibiscus Infusion: To 100 grams of dried hibiscus flowers, add 1 liter boiling water and steep for 30 minutes. Strain and keep flowers for potential garnish.
